I wouldn’t be surprised if the stock market sells off and ends in, or close to being, in the red by the close. The plunge protection team will probably step in to prevent that, but if it does happen, next week could see the crash, I have been looking for.
As far as the metals, the question is, was this morning’s massacare the anticipation of such a stock selloff, or the beginning of more downside to come? I believe this is the inflection point where the metals now take in much of the capital that is flowing out of general equities. Whether that shows up this afternoon with a stock selloff, or waits until next week after continuing volatility today, hasn’t as yet been revealed.

After strong breakouts and rallies, the precious metals have been in a two to three week correction.(depending on how you look at the charts) The price part of it, while seemingly steep, isn’t really, considering the size of the upside moves.
The time part of the correction might seem short in comparison to previous ones, however, nothing of the current situation and set-up, compares to the past. We are ready to bust out to the upside very soon. If not today, then probably, next week.

Relations between the US and EU in recent years, remarkably after the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, have been truly negative for Europeans. In the end, Europe is a victim of American interventionism just like Russia, but, unlike Moscow, it is subservient and collaborates with its own aggressors.

Curious — So how does this work exactly – if a US Military Pilot / Army etc. takes a sanctioned leave of absence to put on a Ukrainian uniform (or act as a mercenary) and subsequently dies during combat, when their bodies are returned to the US do they receive full US military honors (insurance benefits etc. for their families) or does the gov’t deny that they were working for the US MIC in order to not suggest / confirm that NATO troops are fighting Russia directly?

In a two-year period, our federal government spent $199 million enforcing Covid-19 vaccination mandates on the ‘core public administration’ alone (federal employees and RCMP). The totals for each year were $85.7 and $112.9 million respectively.
To offer some perspective:
While 1650 Alberta Health Services employees were sent home on unpaid leave, some were forced to work from home and others were allowed to continue to work onsite but were forced to pay for their own rapid testing. In this decision, 95 of the 260 employees were determined to be eligible for compensation payments of $5000 each, with another ‘few dozen’ being reimbursed for receipts for rapid tests. Those who were forced to work from home will be “made whole,” according to the ruling. Payouts for these individuals are expected to vary widely and have yet to be determined.
